Subsidised Training

Subsidised Training

South Australia needs skilled people in the growth areas of it’s economy. The right training has never been more important. The good news is that its now more accessible than ever because of government subsidised training. Discover your options and find a course that’s right for you.

If your training is subsidised, the South Australian Government pays most of your course fees for you straight to your training provider, so you can focus on your training. It’s not a study loan to you it’s a free grant, so you do not need to pay that back.

Earn while you learn with an apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship is a program where you have the chance to learn real skills in the workplace, earn a nationally-recognised qualification and be paid a wage which rises as you progress through training.

As apprentice you need to enter into a training contract with an employer and a training provider like us that will allow you to combine hands-on training in the workplace with off-job study.

The term apprenticeship can refer to an apprenticeship or a traineeship. The difference are:

You can complete an apprenticeship in 3 to 4 years in areas including the trades, cooking and baking. When you complete an apprenticeship, you become a qualified tradesperson.

There are some traineeships you can complete in 1 to 2 years while others may be for 3 to 4 years. You can do traineeships in business, community health, child care, financial services and many other areas. When you complete a traineeship, you get a nationally recognised qualification.
